Welcome to Inside My Appliance Source

Welcome to Inside My Appliance Source

If you’ve ever walked through our doors, you already know something about us. We’re not a big box store. We’re not a website trying to push the next sale. We’re a local, family-owned business that’s been helping people with their homes since 1977.  And now, we’ve decided to open things up a little more.

That’s why we created Inside My Appliance Source.

This blog is our way of sharing what happens behind the scenes in our stores, what we’re learning, what customers are asking, and what we see every day out on the showroom floor.

Over the years, we’ve realized something simple:

Most people don’t buy appliances very often… but when they do, they want to get it right.

Whether it’s replacing a washer that just stopped working, planning a full kitchen remodel, or trying to understand the difference between brands and features, there’s a lot to sort through. And not always a lot of clear, honest guidance.

That’s where we hope this blog helps.

Here you’ll find:

  • Practical appliance buying tips
  • Real-world advice based on what we see every day
  • Insights into different brands and products
  • Remodel and kitchen planning ideas
  • A look inside both of our Shakopee showrooms
  • And occasionally, just a few stories from life in a family business

As many of you know, we recently expanded and now serve our community from two locations in Shakopee.

Our Main Store on Dem Con Drive continues to be the place for everyday appliance needs, with a strong focus on laundry and in-stock selection.

Our Downtown Shakopee Showroom is designed for customers working through remodels and new home projects, featuring a more focused lineup of Whirlpool family brands.

This blog brings both of those experiences together in one place.

Our goal isn’t to overwhelm you with information.

It’s to give you useful, honest insight so you can make confident decisions for your home.

If you enjoy learning a little more about appliances, seeing what’s new in our stores, or just want some practical advice along the way, we’d love to have you follow along.

Thanks for being part of our story.
